Washington State tenants have won important legal protections, but these rights don't go far enough. Help build the movement to protect and expand tenants rights and make the promise of safe, healthy, affordable housing a reality:

At the event, Mayor Greg Nickels stated that the city was “looking for answers still” to the threat of gentrification and displacement posed by the inflow of revelopment money. But as the article goes on to quote Tenants Union Executive Director Siobhan Ring: “It’s just so important that this language be followed with specific policy tools to create equitable development. And those tools aren’t articulated yet”
