Due this FRIDAY, 8/23: Registration for Pacific Northwest Renter Power Assembly, Sept 13-15!

Join us Friday, September 13th to Sunday, September 15th for two and a half action packed days of tenant solidarity and power building at the first ever Pacific Northwest Renter Power Assembly. Tenants from throughout the northwest are gathering to build networks, share and learn skills, and develop strategies to win in our homes, at our city halls and state capitols, and gain momentum for tenant power in the Pacific Northwest. Register now: bit.ly/PNWassembly2019

Presenters and facilitators will join from the Tenants Union of Washington State, the Community Alliance of Tenants (Portland, OR), the national Right to the City Alliance, and other tenant organizations and allied groups. We'll build skills, vision, and analysis together around:

- Forming and growing a Tenant Association

- Organizing for strong Rent Control and Just Cause eviction protections

- Holding your own Tenant Assembly

- Fighting for permanently affordable housing like Community Land Trusts and other community-led solutions

- Confronting White Nationalism

- Connecting with movements for climate justice and indigenous sovereignty

....and more!

We know that political education and skills training takes money and resources. There is a $50 registration fee, which will cover costs for training sessions, lodging, food, childcare, and travel reimbursements. We are committed to lowering barriers for tenants who are at the frontline of gentrification, displacement, and this extractive housing system. There are a limited number of scholarships available to help with the cost for low-income tenants, on a first come, first served basis. Apply for a scholarship today to reserve your spot at the Assembly.

The Assembly is co-hosted by Tenants Union of Washington, Community Alliance of Tenants, Homes For All / Hogares Para Todxs, and Right To The City Alliance.

We hope to see you there!!
