Tenants Union of WA Is a non-profit organization that has engaged in tenant education, outreach, organizing, and advocacy since 1977. When you donate to the TU, it helps us create improvements in tenant living conditions and we believe that the tenants themselves will become leaders in transforming unjust housing conditions and practices, and our work supports tenants building collective power in their buildings and their communities. The TU has taken a leadership role in legislative advocacy in supporting tenants’ rights, actively challenging displacement, economic eviction, and gentrification. Most tenants that we have served are the most marginalized and vulnerable communities which are people of color, people with disabilities, immigrant families, LGBTQ folks.
