On Tuesday, August 3rd, 350 people — including Section 8 tenants, elected officials, and leaders of housing authorities, community organizations, and religious groups — gathered outside the Federal Building to challenge our elected officials to preserve funding for the Section 8 housing program.
After rousing speeches from Congressman Jim McDermott and others, the crowd marched to the HUD office to deliver a letter of protest to John Meyers, HUD representative.
