Budgets are boring for a reason - to keep us from paying attention! But we can’t let that stop us from making our voices heard. The Seattle City Council is currently making 2018 budget decisions. We’re grateful that the Council continues to express support for renters, but we need more.

ACTION ALERT: Stop Charmaine’s Eviction TODAY

When Charmaine received a late notice for her rent, she immediately secured assistance from SHARE so she and her family could remain in their home. However, Dove Property Management refused to provide a signed tax form and accept the payment, instead filing an eviction on behalf of landlords Kenneth and Tomoko Ono. Charmaine has now paid September and October rent direct to the court but Dove is STILL trying to evict her family and charge them lawyer fees.
