As someone who is deeply concerned about the impact of inequality, injustice, and violence along lines of race, class, gender, ability, sexual orientation, as well as the ways that modern capitalism is ravaging our planet and the climate, I have focused my work on supporting organizations that are working for justice, equity, and sustainability.
I grew up in Tokyo, Japan, riding trains to school and back to attend an international school in Higashikurume. I completed my bachelors at the University of Washington. I lived in Southeast Seattle with my wife, young child, step son, a dog, and a cat until February, 2026, when we moved to Spain. I continue my work supporting the accounting of US non-profits from here in Spain.
I began learning accounting as the volunteer treasurer at the Seattle Young People’s Project, and then grew my skills in various roles, including Finance consulting and Finance & Operations Manager.
